Rodney K. Meyer, CPC founded Meyer International Search and Modern Career Decisions in 1980 following a major acquisition of his multi-office nurses registry and healthcare employment service. Rod had been in the healthcare recruitment and human resources field for over 10 years and decided to serve the California healthcare industry as a noted subject matter expert. He acquired an exclusive preferred provider agreement with the 68 - hospital district membership of the Association of California Healthcare Districts (ACHD).
Rod and his Meyer International Search staff filled Chief Executive Officer positions in large, multi-hospital healthcare districts, metropolitan district hospitals, and rural single provider hospitals and clinics throughout the state of California. Rod became known as "Mr. Employment in Healthcare" by his peers in the Healthcare Human Resources Management Association for his extensive database of healthcare executives in the 11 western United States. He also completed senior level executive recruiting projects in district and public hospitals in Oregon and Nevada.
The Meyer International Search organization was merged into operations with Modern Career Decisions in 1997 and moved to the Foster City, CA offices until 2009. Today, Rod Meyer and his staff of healthcare recruitment associates fill senior=level executive positions and complete employment consulting projects for a variety of healthcare systems and providers throughout California.
In addition to the executive search activities, Rod Meyer provides confidential services to the healthcare executive world of work in the area of outplacement counseling (individual & groups), executive candidate assessment, performance improvement coaching, and career testing/counseling. Rod has developed a highly effective selection methodology which includes working very carefully with the employer expectations, the organization's goals and objectives, world of work culture, past behavioral experiences, and relative experience needed to excel in the executive role. Often times a candidate-completed comprehensive questionnaire is engaged to extract an accurate picture of how the candidate would respond to key elements of the job.
